HAMLET – Trapped between enlightenment and downfall

TOURING INFORMATION

★★★★★★

”Marvelously mashed and cleverly cut to create a modernist classic ‘Hamlet’.”
-The Copenhagen Post

ABOUT

The clash between the new and the old world is raging. Brutal traditions are facing the challenge of knowledge and education, and hierarchies are on the point of toppling, when the ideological, passionate exchange student, Hamlet returns home from the University of Wittenberg to attend his father’s funeral in Kronborg.

Life goes on as usual at Kronborg – but not for Hamlet. Something inside him has changed. He is excited by new ideals and the concept of a modern, civilized human being. In the castle of his childhood the ancient order prevails: an eye for an eye. Can Crown Prince Hamlet break free of the bloody shackles and lead his kingdom into a new, enlightened era? Or is he doomed to fail in his ambitions of enlightenment.

TOURING DATES

September/October 2018 and open to special requests if more than 5 performances.
