Shakespeare Festival 2019 is closed for applications. You still have time to get your performance at Shakespeare Festival 2020.

The Shakespeare Festival is open air theatre at Kronborg Castle in Elsinore, Denmark. All performances take place outdoors, though the stage is covered.
The Shakespeare Festival has just one stage, and collaborates with companies and artists from across the world, thus long-term planning is an important prerequisite when it comes to organising the festival. Please note that only Shakespeare plays is performed at the festival.
So, if you have a Shakespeare production that you think could be of interest for presentation at the Shakespeare Festival you should bear in mind that the theatre can only take into consideration applications where the performance:
- is a Shakespeare production
- can be performed outdoors
- can be performed in August
- can make use of our 300 m2 stage (attach documentation of scenography)
The application deadline for being considered for Shakespeare Festival 2020, is on 1 February 2019. Send us a one pager with a description of your performance, budget and pictures at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your production is eligible for consideration, you will receive a reply on 1 May 2019, and if not, you will not hear anything further from HamletScenen.
