Shakespeare Ambassadors Elsinore is a fellowship for everyone who loves Shakespeare, The Elsinore Shakespeare Festival, and HamletScenen – Denmark’s Shakespeare Theatre. It is an open and engaging community where you meet like-minded people who support setting up a yearly Shakespeare Festival in Elsinore.

The Elsinore Shakespeare Festival has over the years proven its courage to successfully reinterpret Shakespeare’s works and re-vitalise the classics, which brings life and new activities to Kronborg and the town of Elsinore.

To be or not to be an Ambassador

As an Ambassador to Elsinore Shakespeare Festival and member of our association you receive several privileges:

• The right to use the signature: “Shakespeare Festival Ambassador”.
• Participation in network meetings with fellow ambassadors and honorary ambassadors.
• You will receive news and be invited to events and shows before others and have access to tickets before the official sale starts.
• You will be invited to two Back Stage Events at Elsinore Shakespeare Festivals or Hamlet Scenen shows.
• Each of your tickets for Elsinore Shakespeare Festival Performances includes a free drink.
• Opportunity to buy tickets for special closed events regarding Hamlet and Shakespeare.
• ”Surprise Events” related to each year’s programme and casting.
• Participation and the right to vote at the annual Elsinore Shakespeare Festival Summit (Annual assembly)

As an ambassador you commit yourself to:

• To act as an ambassador and support The Festival whenever possible, for example by supporting
  events, fundraising events, or otherwise creating positive publicity and support for the festival.

Our Kingdom for a membership
It’s amazingly cheap to become an Shakespeare Ambassador Elsinore. A personal membership costs only DKK 300 for a year, which is to be paid when you subscribe to the association. Membership continues automatically until you actively unsubscribe. You can cancel your membership at any time but the annual subscription is not returned.

We also offer corporate memberships and are happy to tailor your membership to fit your needs and wishes. Please contact us for a quote.

There is nothing rotten in this ambassador team
If you wish, we can email you The Association’s statutes in English, and we will also publish reports from the association’s future general assemblies, so that everything is always transparent.
